So the bidding doesn’t necessarily start at the asking price?

Am a new comer to this country and trying to understand more about process. Wanted to know the agent is from Bank representative or a private real estate firm?

You should know that the ‘Norwegian model’ has served as an inspiration/example for a reform of the bidding process which has now finally been initiated in the Netherlands.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
I could like to know about the new bidder entering after 12.00, is that allowed to enter new bidder after 12.10 eventhough last bid time 12.15.
Thanks in advance.

do we get to see the other bids which were set in the past if we are putting up a new ( first bid for us, but maybe not first for the house) bid in between other bids? i am curious to know if we can know the history.

I would ask the agent if I were you!

My wife and myself are looking for a house around Tromsø, we found a perfect one, it was mentionned a price of 3 000 000 kr on the advert. The agent has sent me an sms saying the bid was starting at 500 000 kr and will end the 30th of august 10 o’clock. Do you have any idea why the bid starts so low? but for so long?

The original asking price is in the article. We didn’t bid in the auction listed above, so it’s all bids from other people. Yes, it’s basically an auction process with a certain amount of time that needs to pass with no further bids.

Just out of interest about the bidding process .. what was the original asking price?
As for the presented bids .. were they from you or others? If its the latter is looks similar to an Auction accept that the time needs to laps for one to secure the property. Is this correct?
