Movie fans visiting New Zealand often head directly to these shooting sites first, then venture further out to see the rest of the country.

Unfortunately, being an animated film means there are no shooting locations from Frozen to visit, and the film isn’t actually set in Norway, but rather the mythical kingdom of Arendell (named after an actual Norwegian city).

Norway would do well to partner with Disney and create and immersive amusement park devoted to Frozen, as they have already done in Disneyland Tokyo. Making it one of the stops on Disney cruises would give them a captive audience in addition to all the tourists visiting the country who aren’t traveling on a cruise. With Frozen III coming out in 2027 and Frozen IV two years later this would be a good time to start building what could be Norway’s biggest tourist attraction.
