Great website!

My great-grandfather immigrated to the U.S. when he was 17. His parents had both died in Dramen where their home was. He was Hans Otto Myhr(e). I don’t know if he used the “e” at the end of his family name because he changed his last name to “Lovald” when he got to the U.S. I’m not sure why. He died several days after I was born in 1945, so we never had the pleasure of seeing one another.

My wife and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Norway and bringing our daughter, her husband and their three teen-aged children.

I’m sure I have relatives but, Hans left more than 100 years ago so I have no hope of finding them. However, we do have to visit Dramen anyway.

Looking forward to seeing many of the sights my great-grandfather probably took for granted.

Thanks for your super website.
