Among all the duties I’ve done I also taught Norwegian at Sons of Norway Lodge here in town for a while. What the students have trouble with is waking up the muscles in the throat that to a great extent, is not used speaking English. For the letters-Æ-Ø-Å- they are needed. Also speaking English, one do not open ones mouth but one will have to with Norwegian, correct? I also had them open their mouths wider than need be- to learn. Then there was those pesky dialects- we had fun with them!
