Males: 75.8 years
Females: 81.1 year.
That’s almost two points more than you list in your statistic. This is 2023 data and 2024 preliminary data indicates about the same for the UK it’s around 81 on average. I suspect a better healthcare system in the UK, with an emphasis on prevention, makes the biggest difference.
