My maternal grandfather was born in Kjelddal på Bjærangsfjorden in 1900 and emigrated with his mother and siblings to the US in 1907.
He taught me to have pride in my Norse heritage and I’ve been trying to honor him and my ancestors by learning as much as I can about our cultural heritage.
