As a fellow British expat who has recently moved to Norway as well thank you for putting this all together. It’s nice to be able to make sense of everything.

I have also been ‘permittert’, but rent a place. Do you know if there is an equivalent ‘renters holiday’? I see that there are mortgage measures in placed.

Thanks.

Without being an expert I would guess that it is because your 60% dagpenger plus increases child support is enough to keep up with your debts and protect the financial stability of banks and institutions.
Comparing with other countries is not something you can do, without realizing that those cityzens may not be getting any unemployment support what so ever. Spain has their public system in lock down and people does not get unemployment because of it, to say one

Much poorer countries have done that. Cutting the interest rate doesn’t help much.
