Do you have any information regarding UK nationals who are employed in Norwegian oil fields? They would have to travel to mainland Norway before travelling to oil platform.

As a fellow British expat who has recently moved to Norway as well thank you for putting this all together. It’s nice to be able to make sense of everything.

I have also been ‘permittert’, but rent a place. Do you know if there is an equivalent ‘renters holiday’? I see that there are mortgage measures in placed.

Without being an expert I would guess that it is because your 60% dagpenger plus increases child support is enough to keep up with your debts and protect the financial stability of banks and institutions. Comparing with other countries is not something you can do, without realizing that those cityzens may not be getting any unemployment support what so ever. Spain has their public system in lock down and people does not get unemployment because of it, to say one

Why the goverment don’t give order to the banks tp pause the monthly payments for the loans until the end of the crisis. Much poorer countries have done that. Cutting the interest rate doesn’t help much.
