My father was in the oilfield and worked offshore in the North Sea. My mother was born and raised in Sandefjord, Norway. I have so many good memories of our trips to Norway as a child.

Shell Oil out of the US was drilling for oil offshore at the time. Is my memory slipping?
Our Surname is Finholt and we were told it translated to “fine grove”. However, the family was from Oslo. Thank you for the great research article.
